Bazel spent his entire life trying to solve the mystery of Journeys Crowne. Now, the mystery is your job to solve. Use this book and all the resources you can find to solve it locked inside of the book. This book is an adventure drawing game. Those who follow the adventure must draw, color, unravel puzzles, decipher messages, uncover clues, find hidden objects, and eventually solve the mystery. Puzzles are cleverly put together. Each of the codes in the book is different and must be cracked using various methods. There are no answers in the back of the book, but the first page of the book contains a set of rules which clearly state that the library and Internet are great sources for finding information from the book. Some of the areas in the book require an active imagination. They are depicted with a symbol so the reader knows they don’t have one specific answer to find. The illustrations are multi-faceted and fun to study. This adventure book is a fun way to teach critical thinking and problem solving skills to young people.

An impressive work of historical fiction set in England 1202 AD, A King In Spite Of Himself by Alan Macleod is the riveting story of King John and the rescue of Eleanor of Aquitaine (John’s mother), by Roger de Clare and William Marshall, Earle of Pembroke. As the English King John must contend with the French King Phillip, A King In Spite Of Himself carries its readers through the relentless pursuits of Marshal and his aide Roger de Clare as their story involves them in a plot that could end in civil war, the captivity of Arthur, the nephew of John, and a quagmire of courtly intrigue with its lethal twists and turns. A King In Spite Of Himself is very strongly recommended to readers with an interest in the Medieval Europe for its descriptive narrative and historically accurate background.

Come one! Come all! To be a part of the flabbergastingly, magnificient, quirky

Batty Malgoony’s Mystic Carnivale.

Children’s Book Author and Illustrator, K. Michael Crawford brings to you Batty Malgoony’s Mystic Carnivale- A Magical Drawing Escapade.

Batty Malgoony, owner of the Mystic Carnivale, is in search of artists who can create and draw absurd performers, wacky characters and beastly creatures for his amazing and mysterious Carnivale. The artist visits different parts of Batty’s Carnivale and is asked to fill in the uncompleted areas on each page to complete that part of the Carnivale. No drawing experience necessary. Just imagination required.

Batty Malgoony was born in Skull Valley, AZ and at a young age was thrust into the dazzling Carnivale life. One day, his parents told him that they were taking him to the dentist, but instead left him at the Traveling Waladaba Carnivale. He knew instantly that he found his place in life among the Carnies and Animals. After he learned all the ropes, so to speak, to running a Carnivale, Batty set out to create the world’s best Carnivale and his efforts earned him the prestigious Big Bertha Award. The word in the Carnivale world is that Batty could make an act out of Snugs if he wanted to have them perform. Batty’s Mystic Carnivale has performed for Royalty, Presidents and the most serious skeptics and left them cheering in the end. The Queen of England was so impressed that she knighted Batty on the spot. Batty is a member of the Harlequin Society and The Gaffers and Funambulist Club.

When not traveling with his Carnivale in the off-season, Batty kicks off his clown shoes and can be seen on his farm in Wicked Springs, WY. If you get an inkling, stop by and say hello to Batty. But be warned, you might wind up as one of his acts.

K. Michael Crawford, the creative force behind Batty, can be found most days stuck up on the tightrope trying to get down.

In a Mystery, there’s always Adventure!

The Mystery of Journeys Crowne is finally revealed in new Book.

Children’s Book Author and Illustrator, K. Michael Crawford brings to you one of Bazel Lark’s greatest unsolved mysteries in a book called “The Mystery of Journeys Crowne”- An Adventure Drawing Game.

Mr. Lark, an Archaeologist and Explorer, discovered the one Golden Key that would lead him through a series of clues in order to finally answer the mystery behind Journeys Crowne. Although, it is sad to report, Bazel was never able to solve this mystery.

In following in Mr. Lark’s footsteps, the reader must answer clues on each page in order to draw the missing elements on the page. Once the reader has completed all the pages, the mystery behind Journeys Crowne will be revealed.

Bazel Lark was the world’s foremost expert on hidden treasures and finds. He had won a number of awards for his work and was a proud member of Society of International Archaeology and Antiquities. His work touched millions and each year he created a whole new generation of Archaeologists through his teaching at Mystic Shores Community College. He was once quoted in saying, “Man always tries to bury the past and I dig it up.”

His most notable find to date was the remains of Jimmy Hoffa discovered in the Tomb of Sir Isaac Newton, which Mr. Hoffa’s remains are now on loan to the Chicago Mafia Museum. Many of his other great discoveries, The Treasure of Tabuyo and Headdress of Cleopatra’s hand servant are housed at the Bazel Lark Museum in Mystic Shores.

On the other hand, K. Michael Crawford still remains a mystery.

Life-changing experience inspires author to pen collection of thoughts

Author Douglas N. Petersen began sending inspirational thoughts and quotes via e-mail to coworkers after attending a week-long self improvement and leadership program provided by his employer. Since he began “Thoughts of the Day,” the e-mail list has grown and Petersen’s dedication to providing those around him with daily inspiration has continued to blossom.

At the urging of a friend, Petersen gathered his daily thoughts into a larger collection now available to the public as Inspire: A Collection of Thoughts of the Day.

“The stress that life hands us can be challenging,” Petersen says. “But it is my hope that this book will help bring the joys of life into focus for others, just as writing it has for me.”

His journey is not entirely unique; many of the world’s notable authors have pored over their own life experiences to create literary works. But Petersen’s goal isn’t to set an agenda or force his views. Instead, he says, “I hope the book inspires others to focus on their own personal values and live them each day.”

Readers can capture their own reflections on the book’s contents by journaling on blank pages provided next to each of Petersen’s thoughts.

Inspire: A Collection of Thoughts of the Day (ISBN 978-1-60264-404-5) is available at Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com and virtualbookworm.com
